Because ...

Because He came;

Because He taught;

Because He discipled;

Because He ministered - healing, exorcising, performing miracles, showing

compassion, feeding the multitudes, loving all people ...;

Because He obeyed and humbled Himself ...;

Because He said nevertheless;

Because He suffered - being denied, betrayed, abandoned, persecuted,

beaten, mocked, spat on, ...;

Because He laid down His life and hung on the cross;

Because He died and shed His blood;

Because He was buried;

Because He rose with all power in heaven and on earth;

Because He ascended;

Because He sits at the right hand of God, His Father, and intercedes;

Because He sent the Holy Spirit;

Because He will return;

We, as believers, have been redeemed, saved, set free from the bondage of our sin. Praise His Holy Name! Praise Jesus Christ, The Messiah! Worship Him for doing for mankind what no one else whoever traversed, is traversing, or will traverse the earth could do. Thank God for loving us enough to send His one and only begotten Son! Let us thank Jesus for the abundant life we have as result of believing in Him, confessing with our mouths that, “Jesus is Lord.” Now, as His followers, we enjoy blessed assurance of eternity with Him no matter what. Let us live Holy Spirit filled lives, forgive as Jesus has forgiven us, love as Jesus has loved us, and be His disciples as we make disciples as His unashamed witnesses.

Because He lives, we live.

Hebrews 7:25 “Therefore He is able to save completely those who

come to God through him, because He always lives to intercede

for them.” (emphasis added)

Reflect on the words of this renown song and the scriptures that follow:

Because He Lives

How sweet to hold a newborn baby And feel the pride and the joy that he gives Oh but greater still, the calm assurance We can face uncertain days because He lives

And because He lives, I can face tomorrow Because He lives, all fear is gone Because I know He holds the future And life is worth a living just because He lives

And then one day, I'll cross that river I'll fight life's final war with pain And then as death gives way to victory I'll see the lights of glory and I'll know He reigns

Because He lives, I can face tomorrow Because He lives, all fear is gone Because I know He holds the future And life is worth a living just because He lives

He lives, He lives

Luke 19:10 (NIV)

10 “For the Son of Man came to seek and to save the lost.”

Romans 5:8 (NIV)

8 “But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.”

John 14:6 (NIV)

6 Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.”

Romans 10:9 – 13 (NIV)

9 If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved. 11 As Scripture says, “Anyone who believes in him will never be put to shame.” l 12 For there is no difference between Jew and Gentile—the same Lord is Lord of all and richly blesses all who call on him, 13 for, “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”

John 15:13 (NIV)

13 Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.

John 3:16 (NIV)

16 For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. 17 For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. 18 Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because they have not believed in the name of God’s one and only Son. 19 This is the verdict: Light has come into the world, but people loved darkness instead of light because their deeds were evil. 20 Everyone who does evil hates the light, and will not come into the light for fear that their deeds will be exposed. 21 But whoever lives by the truth comes into the light, so that it may be seen plainly that what they have done has been done in the sight of God.
