Dr. Tracy Pickett

Tracy Pickett is the oldest of five daughters born to John and Julia Evans in Laurel, MS.   Tracy is blessed to be married to and truly in love with Dwayne Pickett, Sr., who serves as pastor of NJC Jackson. They are the proud parents of five wonderful sons, Julian (Elyane), Kendedrick, Malcolm (Nikeya), Dwayne, Jr., and Keishun and Paw Paw and Nana of four beautiful grandchildren (all girls at present) and counting. Tracy Pickett is a lifelong learner, a graduate of Watkins High and a graduate of USM with a B.S. and a M.S. in Physics and a Ph.D. in Physics Education, all by the grace of God.  She accepted Jesus as her Lord and Savior in 1991.  Given the gift of teaching, Dr. Pickett serves as the Director of Christian Education at NJC. In order to better serve God and His people, Dr. Tracy recently completed a Master of Art in Biblical Studies (MABS) from NOBTS by way of DTS. God has chosen Tracy, thought by some to quiet and passive, to be one of His conduits to know and proclaim His Word.  She has grown to understand that the life given to her is meant to glorify God. She simply desires to worship God with her whole life by loving Him and loving others and being a disciple who makes disciples of Jesus Christ.
