Learn the Word

Jesus is the embodiment of the Word of God, and the Scriptures were the source of all that He taught and did. So, all that the disciples learned from Him was according to Scripture, in Word and incarnate in Him. Learning the Word of God is one of the main tenants of discipleship. Learning the Word was not limited to what was taught in the synagogue or what is deemed now as Bible study. It was primary then and should not be neglected or eliminated now.
